A review of the meeting of the Northeast Clean Language Practice group - 28th November 1998

A fairly short review - Andy and I arrived after a terrible journey up the A1. But at least we now have our own key to Alington house, this makes life a lot easier. After a few minutes Colin turned up. We then started on a conversation of the strengths of qualitative research versus quantitative methods, and the brainstorming began.

We talked about all sorts of topics, from NLP to Clean Language to the origins of psychotherapy to the applications of various approaches to training and development.

After a few more rounds of coffee Jan turned up and we talked more about Clean Language, its origins, development and applications. The conversation again touched on philosophy and at this point someone (mentioning no names) came up with the phrase of "twatty philosophers" - which tickled me no end.

Having recently spend a substantial time working with David, Jan was Clean-Languaged-out, and so we never really got into any 'practice' as such.

A trip to the pub for lunch, more chat and more coffee - and a damn good day all round.

Next meeting is on Saturday 16th January 1999, at Alington House, Durham.
