An Introduction to…

David Grove, through his work with trauma victims, has developed and unique and wonderful approach to exploring client generated metaphors and bringing about transformation. His approach, now called Clean Language, is a unique and beautiful way of enabling an individual to explore and to grow their own metaphors.

Each person's metaphors are a unique and individual expression of their own experiences, Clean Language makes no interpretation of the metaphor and avoids contaminating it with the questioner's own perceptions. It leaves the client free to evolve their metaphors and reach a resolution of their own problem.

James Lawley and Penny Tompkins, renowned NLP practitioners and trainers, have spent two years with David Grove, modelling his skills and techniques. The results of their work, Grovian Metaphor Therapy and Clean Language, are now being enjoyed and employed by a wider audience of therapists, counsellors and trainers.

I invite you to spend a day participating in an engaging and enjoyable learning experience, learning the fundamentals of Grovian Metaphor Therapy.

During the day you will learn:

• the basic questions and syntax of Clean Language
• discovering a client's symbols and metaphors
• identifying the attributes of each symbol
• uncovering resource symbols
• shifting between cognitive and symbolic thinking
