Finally, changes to my web site

Well, it's taken a ridiculously long time, but I have finally got around to updating my web site.
I'm now older (by very several years) than I was when I put the site up. Much of the content is now out of date
so it's time to disable the old pages while I decide which need to be kept and which need to go.

Apologies if you're new to my site. Thank you for coming, but for the moment you'll find nothing but holding pages.

The articles, links page, practise group reviews and (importantly) very out of date notices about training courses
have all been replaced by this holding page. All I have to do now is reinvent my site and get it back up and running.

In the meantime I have a page on Facebook. Just click on the picture below to go and have a look:

NLP Northeast - First Saturday practise group

Another very interesting session at the NLP Northeast practise group - First Saturday. Four of us turned up, fewer than usually attend but never a barrier to interesting and valuable practise. At least this time we didn't have snow!

John, Richard, Helen and I had a chat and a tea/coffee and discussed what we might do. John suggested practising some Clean Language - he'd just done that module on his practioner course. Everyone thought this was a good idea. We needed a quick reminder of the basic Clean Language questions, so we dug them out of the practitioner course manual and wrote them up on the whiteboard.

Richard, John and Helen ready to practise some Clean Language

We then did a simple exercise, starting with the question "And what would you like to have happen" we took it in turns to be the questionner and the 'subject'. It was excellent to do some Clean Language again, I've not practised any for ages.

If you've not come across Clean Language then you may be wondering what it is. Rather than explain here I suggest you have a look at www.cleanlanguage.co.uk (opens in a new window).

Below is a YouTube video by Caitlin Walker of Training Attention which gives an introduction to Clean Questions.

NLP Northeast - First Saturday practise group

Although only three of us turned up (see picture below, it was very snowy) we had a VERY interesting time. Through an act of pure serendipity three people all turned up to the same place at the same time, despite challenging weather, all seeking answers to very similar questions.

We took turns to be the "subject" and the others used the Insight cards to ask questions about the past, present and future of a significant decision (we were all working on the same kind of decision).
Wow! Lots of insight (ah, hence the name), new realisations, realising the significance of what we'd already decided. For the moment I won't go into the detail of what we talked about, pity because the content was the really interesting bit (not always the case in NLP).
